Binance is one of the world's leading cryptocurrency exchanges, providing access to a wide range of cryptocurrency trading options, including spot trading, margin trading and futures trading. Binance Futures offers traders the opportunity to trade with up to 125x leverage on a range of crypto assets, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC) and more.
When trading on Binance Futures, traders are required to pay a funding rate, which is calculated in each 8-hour period. This funding rate is set by the exchange based on the current market conditions and is used to incentivize traders to maintain a balanced market, and to ensure that traders do not take on excessive risks.
The funding rate is generally a small percentage of the position’s notional value, although it can vary depending on the asset and the period in which it is traded. The funding rate is charged on a regular basis, usually on an 8-hour basis, and can either be positive or negative.
To access the funding rate on Binance Futures, traders can go to the "Funding" tab on the main trading page. Here, they will be able to view the current funding rate for all assets, as well as the previous funding rate. Additionally, traders can also view the funding rate for each asset in the last 24 hours, as well as the total amount of funding paid in that period.
In addition to the funding rate, traders can also view the funding rate history for each asset, which is displayed in a graph. This graph shows the total amount of funding paid for each asset over the past 8-hour period, and can be used to help traders understand the current market conditions and make more informed trading decisions.
