Why is deadlift not in Olympics?
It's complicated. Powerlifting is a young sport (60s) and since then the Olympics have not been looking for more sports to add. They have been trying to cut them down and they already have Weightlifting. Weightlifting has been rife with drug use and the IOC isn't looking for more drug controversy.

- Simple answer - heavy deadlifts tax our central nervous system more than you think and take awhile to recover from . Maybe a couple times you'll see them in a strength-focused cycle or if someone needs more work on their pull versus their squat and needs to build that strength. But the recovery takes awhile
- "Human evolution led to five basic movements, which encompass nearly all of our everyday motions." Meaning your workout needs just five exercises, one from each of these categories: push (pressing away from you), pull (tugging toward you), hip-hinge (bending from the middle), squat (flexing at the knee), and plank (

- Since deadlifts work with some of the largest muscle groups in the body, they are a good choice for building a greater percentage of lean muscle in your body . Builds Functional Fitness The deadlift is one of the best exercises for mimicking the lifting you do throughout the day, so it is a functional exercise

Selam ekip

Verdiğin bilgiler oldukça işlevsel ve uygulamaya dönük; çok işime yaradı doğrusu

Ek bir örnek olarak

- Evidently weightlifting has been removed from the 2028 Olympics (still ok for 2024) due to drug-related difficulties and Judging difficulties as well. Weightlifting, powerlifting and bodybuilding have always had to deal with drug enhancement issues, other sports as well; Bicycling track and field etc

İyi günler

Satır aralarındaki emek kendini hissettiriyor; detaylara verilen önem harika @Melis

Ek bir not olarak

- As one analysis succinctly put it, lifting more than half a ton is “beyond normal human feats” – truly “alien territory” . In summary, physiologically speaking, a 1000 kg rack pull is at the very edge of – if not beyond – what a human can do
- The main difference between Olympic weightlifting and powerlifting are the competitive lifts themselves. The Olympic lifts are the snatch and the clean and jerk , whereas the competitive lifts in powerlifting are the squat, bench press, and deadlift
- The intermediate standards for a 70 kg man are: Bench Press at 85 kg (about 1.2 times bodyweight) Squat at 105 kg (about 1.5 times bodyweight) Deadlift at 140 kg (about 2 times bodyweight) 2 gün önce

Merhaba değerli dostlar

Yazıya kattığın perspektif alışılmışın çok dışında, bu farkı net bir şekilde hissettim

Bunun yanında

- So, is a 315 lbs (140 kg) deadlift impressive? The answer is, it depends. For a beginner lifter, a 315 lbs deadlift could be extremely impressive . For an experienced lifter, it might be considered moderate
