An Avalisation is an endorsement on an accepted bill by a bank, unconditionally guaranteeing to honour payment at maturity. “Bill” is defined as a Bill of Exchange, Promissory Note or Draft. By providing an Avalisation to a Bill, HSBC guarantees the payment obligations of the Drawee / Payor.
