Which is correct in ground or on ground?
Either one can be correct, depending on context. For example, you could say “the tree is rooted in the ground,” meaning that at least a part of the tree is below ground. In a different context, you could say “The ball fell off the picnic table and is now on the ground,” meaning it's sitting on top of the ground.Nov 28, 2018
