What is the difference between a pulmonary lobule and an acinus?
An acinus measures up to 10 mm in diameter. A primary pulmonary lobule is the part of the lung distal to the respiratory bronchiole. Thus, it includes the alveolar ducts, sacs, and alveoli but not the respiratory bronchioles.
