Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, believes that artificial intelligence (AI) should not replace human labor but rather save human effort. He argues that instead of AI taking away jobs, it should be seen as a time-saving tool. Buterin sees AI as a complement to human labor, enhancing people’s talents rather than replacing them. He gives an example of AI-based image generators and content creators, suggesting that AI platforms can help artists create films and artistic works at a lower cost. Buterin considers AI to be one of the most significant developments in history. However, he recognizes that regulation is currently limited in dealing with future risks associated with AI. He suggests that regulations should be case-targeted rather than across-the-board bans that hinder innovation. The chairman of the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Gary Gensler, has also expressed concerns about AI and its potential to cause future financial crises. Meanwhile, the price of Ethereum (ETH) has remained stable around $1850, with recent applications for Ethereum futures ETFs being evaluated by the SEC. If approved, this could potentially impact the price of ETH.
