“The second lesson I learned from Jack Ma and CZ is to always do what is right, not what is easy,” Sun said. Additionally, the Tron founder also detailed the values that Jack Ma imparted during his time at Hupan University. Additionally, Ma emphasized that a company’s ultimate value comes from the value it provides to its users.
“It is crucial to do what is right for users rather than focusing on the profit itself,” Sun wrote. He also emphasizes that profit should not be the primary focus but a by-product of the value provided to users. He also drew parallels with CZ’s entrepreneurial journey.

Imprisonment of Changpeng Zhao
These comments come in light of CZ’s recent legal troubles. Former Binance CEO Changpeng ‘CZ’ Zhao was sentenced to four months in prison for violating the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA). Additionally, the sentence was imposed following money laundering allegations against him.
Judge Richard Jones presided over the case and ultimately disagreed with the U.S. Department of Justice’s (DOJ) three-year prison sentence recommendation. Additionally, Judge Jones announced that he followed the Probation Office’s recommendation of a sentence of 10 to 16 months.
Despite this, he sentenced him to 4 months in prison. This decision disappointed Justice Department prosecutors, who wanted a harsher sentence. However, the judge declared that there was no evidence to show that CZ was aware of the illegal activity, leading to the denial of the Justice Department’s request for the enhancement.
More than six months have passed since CZ pleaded guilty to the charge. Additionally, Binance also paid $4.3 billion in settlement fees to the Department of Justice. After stepping down as CEO, CZ waived his right to appeal a prison sentence of up to 18 months. But his legal battle with the regulator continued to intensify.
