The “Liberty in Our Lifetime” conference recently took place in Prague, bringing together individuals from around the world who are passionate about economic independence. The conference aimed to showcase various libertarian projects and intentional communities that promote freedom and autonomy. Organized by the Free Cities Foundation, the event attracted unconventional thinkers, digital nomads, Bitcoin enthusiasts, and entrepreneurs.

While the conference covered a wide range of topics such as intentional communities, Investment ideas, libertarian philosophy, and freedom-focused technologies, Bitcoin emerged as a central theme. Many speakers highlighted the role of Bitcoin in achieving free cities, as discussed in Alexander Voss’ book “Strategies for Liberty: Free Cities & Bitcoin.” It was emphasized that Bitcoin holds more value and potential than traditional assets. Knut Svanholm discussed the burgeoning Bitcoin community in Madeira and mentioned the upcoming Bitcoin Atlantis conference in 2024.

Libertarian projects were also highlighted, such as the Free State Project in New Hampshire, where a significant portion of the population consists of “Free Staters.” Additionally, a speech focused on the hidden treasures of pirate democracy and tied it to the latest developments in seasteading projects presented by Joe Quirk of the Seasteading Institute. One such pirate hideout, Guanaja Hills, was showcased as an intentional community in a tropical paradise that accepts Bitcoin for memberships and luxury holidays.

The conference also touched on future trends, including longevity research and breakthroughs that may lead to immortality. José Cordeiro, a longevity expert, predicted significant advancements in longevity research by 2045. Additionally, the special economic zone of Próspera in Roatan, Honduras, was highlighted for establishing Bitcoin as legal tender and focusing on financial education for locals.

Beyond the discussions and debates, the conference emphasized networking and building connections among attendees. Various Bitcoin projects were present, and attendees had the opportunity to interact with like-minded individuals and share ideas. Furthermore, the conference stood out for its family-friendly nature, welcoming children and creating an inclusive space for individuals and families alike.

Overall, the “Liberty in Our Lifetime” conference celebrated freedom, innovation, and the power of Bitcoin. It provided valuable insights into how Bitcoin can be used as a tool for achieving free cities and offered a glimpse into a future shaped by liberty. The conference demonstrated that liberty and Bitcoin are closely linked and have the potential to positively impact the world. Attendees were encouraged to attend future conferences and explore the Free Cities Foundation’s website and whitepaper for more information..
