Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange, has announced that it will delist 12 liquidity pools from its Binance Liquid Swap platform on October 17. The affected Trading pairs include XRP/BUSD, MANA/BUSD, OP/BUSD, BEL/USDT, FTM/BUSD, FUN/USDT, GMT/BNB, GMT/ETH, HFT/USDT, IDEX/USDT, LEVER/USDT, and MAGIC/BTC. The move is aimed at improving liquidity and transaction prices for users. However, the delisting of XRP/BUSD may have contributed to the decline in XRP’s price.

Binance regularly reviews its listed liquidity pools to concentrate liquidity, reduce slippage, and provide better transaction prices for users. As a result of the delisting, affected customers will have their assets automatically moved to their Spot wallets on October 17. Importantly, the removal of these liquidity pools will not impact the trading of the corresponding pairs on Binance Spot.

The delisting of XRP/BUSD and other pairs may have played a role in the declining price of XRP. The token recently reached a monthly low of around $0.48, down from almost $0.55 after Ripple’s second court victory against the US SEC.

This is not the first time Binance has delisted trading pairs. Earlier this month, the exchange removed 19 additional pairs, including ANKR/BUSD, DATA/BUSD, 1INCH/BUSD, POLYX/BUSD, RARE/BUSD, SLP/BUSD, and SUSHI/BUSD. Binance stated that these delistings were conducted to protect users and maintain a high-quality trading market. Importantly, all of the delisted pairs were BUSD trading pairs, and Binance has previously announced that it will discontinue support for BUSD at the beginning of next year.

In conclusion, Binance is delisting 12 liquidity pools, including XRP/BUSD, from its Liquid Swap platform to improve liquidity and transaction prices for users. The delisting may have contributed to the decline in XRP’s price. Additionally, Binance removed 19 trading pairs earlier this month as part of its efforts to maintain a high-quality trading market..
