ripple Alum Backs XRP Lawyer John Deaton’s Senate Run

Former Ripple director Sean McBride is rallying to campaign in support of XRP lawyer John Deaton’s Senate race. He also called for a vote for Deaton, citing concerns about the decline of big tech and Wall Street, and noted government interference in the crypto space.

In a recent post on He also pointed out that influential CEOs like JPMorgan’s Jamie Dimon are selling shares of their own organizations. He also highlighted concerns regarding the suppression of XRP by the Federal Government.

McBride warns against being misled by such actions. “They pick winners and losers,” he said. Therefore, he decided to defend Deaton. “People like John Deaton need to be elected,” he said.

Supporting the XRP lawyer, McBride stated that the crypto community and others must stand against “corruption, invasion and tyranny.” Additionally, McBride said, “The next election is the most important election in the history of the United States.”

Although he didn’t directly mention his disappointment in Senator Elizabeth Warren, it was pretty obvious. Since Warren is an anti-crypto Senate candidate and Deaton is a pro-crypto challenger, support for the latter rightfully indicates a sense of dissatisfaction for her.

On Tuesday, February 20, pro-XRP legal expert John Deaton officially announced his candidacy for Senate and stepped into the political arena to challenge Senator Elizabeth Warren, who is seeking a third consecutive term in office. Meanwhile, speculation swirled around Deaton’s chances of unseating Warren from office.

Additionally, Boston.com conducted a survey of its audience and received responses from more than 500 people regarding their views on Deaton’s potential to unseat Warren in the upcoming November election. A majority (57%) said they believed Warren was vulnerable to Deaton’s candidacy.

But 39% have the opposite view, emphasizing Warren’s solid position within the state’s political framework. They believe that removing him will be an uphill task for the XRP lawyer.
