Independence Day Holiday

I don't like Independence Day Holiday, because it's a reminder of the brutality and violence of the past. Every year, I feel like I'm being reminded of the pain and suffering of those who had to fight for freedom. It's a reminder of the long fought struggle of our ancestors to gain freedom from oppressive regimes.

The celebration of Independence Day has become too commercialized, and I don't think it is a good representation of what the holiday is about. Everywhere I look, there are ads for Independence Day sales, barbecues, and other celebrations. It has become a holiday focused on consumption and entertainment, rather than a celebration of our history and appreciation of our hard-fought freedom.
