According to the information shared by Elon Musk, Grok has the capability to access real-time data on the X platform, providing it with a distinct advantage compared to other models. Following the completion of the early-stage beta version of Grok, xAI plans to make it available to X Premium+ subscribers for a monthly fee of $16. Notably, Grok, as mentioned by Elon Musk, incorporates humorous expressions in its responses, setting it apart from ChatGPT.
Grok-1, as per xAI's provided information, has been trained with 33 billion parameters. This initial model exhibits capabilities closely resembling those of LLaMA 2 (70B), a model produced in collaboration with Meta and Microsoft. However, Grok-1 utilizes only half of the resources used for LLaMA 2's training. Grok-1 achieved a success rate of 63.2% in the HumanEval Python code completion task and 73% in the MMLU, which presents multidisciplinary multiple-choice questions. Moreover, as indicated in the table below, Grok-1 outperforms other models in its computation class, including ChatGPT-3.5 and Inflection-1, which encompass tasks like MATH and GSM8k. In addition to these assessments, the xAI team evaluated Grok-1, Claude-2, and GPT-4 in the 2023 Hungary National High School Mathematics Finals, with Grok achieving a C grade at 59%, Claude-2 at 55%, and GPT-4 at 68%.
