Charles Hoskinson Explains Why Trump Is Better Than Biden For Crypto

In a recent statement, Cardano (ADA) founder Charles Hoskinson expressed concerns about the potential impact of the upcoming November 2024 presidential elections on the crypto industry. Hoskinson’s remarks came in response to a report from crypto analytics and news provider Blockworks that suggested only a “fool” would base their votes solely on crypto-related topics. Additionally, Hoskinson highlighted how the Trump administration could be better than Biden’s.

Hoskinson Disputes Blockworks’ Statement

Hoskinson strongly disagreed with Blockworks’ aforementioned narrative. Additionally, the cardano founder emphasized the critical importance of shaping crypto into a new social contract that holds governments and companies accountable to the public. He stated: “Crypto gives us back our voice, our financial freedom, and our common humanity. “Any politician who wants to deprive us of that is dangerous.”

Expressing his stance as a ‘single issue voter’, Hoskinson emphasized the importance of a presidential candidate’s stance on crypto. He argued that being anti-crypto is tantamount to the deepest form of totalitarianism. The Cardano founder also emphasized: “Being anti-crypto is the deepest and worst totalitarianism possible. It robs us of our human agency, our freedoms, and our economic identity.”

Additionally, Hoskinson warned against the possible consequences of neglecting the crypto industry’s interests in the election process. He warned that failure to support cryptocurrency-first candidates could lead to the implementation of central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), increased financial surveillance and limited social mobility.

He also clarified that he did not support Biden as some in the community believed. “I’m on the left, and I understand that the 20 percent of America that owns crypto are pretty pissed that Biden is arbitrarily and capriciously causing massive damage to our entire industry,” the Cardano pioneer wrote.

Cardano Founder Says Trump Is Better Than Biden

Responding to questions about reluctance to mention the other candidate [Donald Trump]Hoskinson addressed the issue head on. stating, “Trump? No, I’m not afraid to talk about him.” He portrayed Trump as an ‘average’ president who left the crypto industry largely unhindered, providing an environment conducive to innovation and growth.

“He was a mean president and left our industry mostly alone, giving us the ability to build the future of the world in peace,” Cardano’s Hoskinson said. In response, Hoskinson criticized President joe Biden’s approach towards the crypto industry.

He also accused him of actively trying to undermine the industry’s growth. Complaining about Biden’s actions, Biden said, “Biden gave good warnings to everyone and his uncles and is actively trying to destroy the American crypto industry.”

The Cardano pioneer further added: “Our industry is not about developing arbitrary products or debating taxes and regulations.” This reflects the latest crackdown launched by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Biden administration.
