Crypto market prices continued to fall today along with major cryptocurrencies due to bleeding pressure from traders. While Bitcoin (BTC), the largest cryptocurrency by market cap, has fallen below $40,000, some smaller altcoins have outperformed major players in the space.
Cryptocurrency prices today are showing notable declines for both Bitcoin and Ethereum (ETH). This comes after excitement around Spot Bitcoin ETFs began to fade. However, crypto analysts are treating the recent bearish trend as an opportunity to “buy the dip” as they remain optimistic about the long-term potential of the crypto arena.

Bitcoin, the world’s oldest cryptocurrency, saw its price fall below the $39,000 level and then recover. Bitcoin price dropped by 1.25% to $39,637.47 as of Wednesday, January 24, when this article was written. Transaction volume decreased by 1.99% in the last 24 hours to 30.19 billion dollars. Looking at other cryptocurrencies, Ethereum price is down 5.47% to $2,218.93 at the time of writing. On the contrary, it recorded a 21.76% increase in trade volume, reaching 16.59 billion dollars. Additionally, Binance Coin (BNB) decreased by 4.85% to $295.80, while its 24-hour trading volume increased by 14.81% to $1.06 billion.
Additionally, solana experienced a 2% decline in its price and settled at $84.05. On the contrary, it increased by 19.62% in trade volume, reaching 3.14 billion dollars. While XRP decreased by 2.82% to $0.5158, its transaction volume increased by 25.92% to $1.41 billion.
Meanwhile, the price of Cardano fell by 3.72% to $0.4665. However, it increased by 26.13% in 24-hour trading volume, reaching $557.39 million. Meanwhile, on the much-hyped meme coin market, dogecoin fell 3.29% to $0.07833, while its rival Shiba Inu fell 8.35% to $0.000008804.

pepe coin, a trending cryptocurrency, further compounded losses as investors turned to safer options. Pepe coin price decreased by 3.60% to $0.000001029. Meanwhile, transaction volume increased by 16.54% to $71.54 million.
Akash Network (AKT), an artificial intelligence cryptocurrency, recorded a 14% increase, defying the bearish trend in the market. AKT price increased by 14.38% to $2.76 and its market value reached $623.39 million. On the other hand, 24-hour trading volume decreased by 14.51% to $5.76 million.
Blur (BLUR), one of the trending virtual currencies, also recorded a significant rise. Blur’s value increased by 8.88% to $0.664. Additionally, trade volume increased by 50.08% to 405.74 million dollars. It also traded as high as $0.6667 during the bullish rally.
