However, on Monday, the cryptocurrency experienced a sharp decline and dipped below $26,000. The bulls stepped in to prevent further declines, and BTC regained some ground in the following days. On Wednesday, it attempted to break through the $27,000 mark but was quickly halted. Towards the end of the week, there was another bullish charge, pushing BTC above $27,000 and reaching a multi-day high of $27,200. However, it has since lost some value and struggled to continue upward.
Bitcoin’s Market capitalization has slightly retraced to $525 billion, with its dominance over altcoins at 48.9%.
Chainlink’s native token, LINK, has been performing well recently and is one of the few cryptocurrencies in the green within the past 24 hours. It has seen a 3% daily and 15% weekly increase, reaching a two-month high above $8.
Ripple is also in the green, trading above $0.5 with a 1.5% increase. LEO has jumped 2% and is close to $1.7.
Other larger-cap altcoins, including Ethereum, Binance Coin, Cardano, Dogecoin, Solana, Tron, Toncoin, Polkadot, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash, have all experienced minor losses.
