Binance Adds Nearly a Dozen Crypto Assets to ‘Watching Tag’ List
Crypto exchange giant binance announced on Thursday that it has added nearly a dozen new coins and tokens to its ‘Watching Tag’ list. These assets include ANT, FIRO, KP3R, MDX, MOB, reef, VAI, XMR, ZEC and ZEN.
Explaining the reason behind the move, Binance said that these tokens show higher volatility and risk compared to their counterparts. It also warned that assets tagged with the Tracking Tag face the possibility of being removed from the platform.
Binance May Remove Tracking Day After Periodic Reviews
“Tokens with Tracking Tag exhibit significantly higher volatility and risk compared to other listed tokens. These tokens are closely monitored with regular reviews. “Note that tokens with the Tracking Tag no longer meet our listing criteria and are at risk of being removed from the platform,” Binance said in its statement. Binance added that the decision to remove the Tracking Label will be made after periodic project reviews. The review will take into account several factors, including the team’s commitment to the project, the level and quality of development activity, trading volume and liquidity, and the network’s vulnerability to security breaches.
Beyond this, Binance will also evaluate a network’s smart contract stability, level of public communication, response to periodic due diligence requests, evidence of unethical/fraudulent behavior or negligence, and contribution to a healthy and sustainable crypto ecosystem.

Additionally, users can only trade tokens marked with the Tracking Tag if they pass the relevant tests within 90 days on the Binance Spot and/or Binance Margin platforms.
Notably, Binance removed Seed Tag from two crypto assets, gmx (GMX) and SushiSwap (sushi).
In related news, Binance also postponed the launch of USDC margin perpetual contracts for major digital assets including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), solana (SOL), BNB, and XRP. The crypto exchange said the launch, originally planned for January 3, has now been postponed to January 4, citing recent market volatility.
