Bitcoin’s price has continued to perform poorly, dropping below $26,000 in the past 24 hours. Altcoins have also seen losses, with SOL, LTC, SHIB, and TON experiencing drops of up to 5%.

Bitcoin had a significant price surge a week ago after Grayscale won a court case against the SEC, pushing BTC from $26,000 to a 15-day peak above $28,000. However, this momentum quickly disappeared when the SEC delayed making a decision on spot Bitcoin ETF applications. Bitcoin’s price then dropped to an 11-week low at $25,350 before recovering slightly to around $26,000.

As a result, Bitcoin’s Market capitalization has fallen below $500 billion, and its dominance over altcoins remains at 48.3%.

Most altcoins saw minor gains yesterday, but today the market is different. Ethereum is down 1% to $1,620, while BNB, XRP, and ADA also experienced losses, albeit more modestly. Solana, Litecoin, and Shiba Inu have declined by around 2.5-3%, and TONCOIN has dropped by 5.5% in the past 24 hours.

Some altcoins, such as DOGE, MATIC, and TRX, have seen gains today. However, Gala Games’ native token has fallen by 5% in a day and 17% in a week due to issues between the project’s co-founders. GMX, ASTR, and HBAR also experienced losses of up to 13% in the past week.

The total crypto market cap has returned to $1.040 trillion on CMC after losing the gains from yesterday.
